Office since 1988. This means that since 1988 the proprietor of Damelt has produced Handmade jewellery. The Jewellery that has been produced were all stamped with our registered makers marks. Accompanying these marks are the hallmarks of the assay office approving the content of gold or silver. Once these Hallmarks are present the Jewellery has then been sold to the public. Scrap gold can also be melted and sent to the Assay office to have what is called a special assay. This assesses the content of gold in the bar by the Assay office. Damelt can then assess what that gold is worth by the gold fix that day.
